Notes: This show really smokes, Jerry is fingerpicking throughout and his voice is as good as it gets, check out Black Peter - one of the best ever IMHO. Most of drums was not recorded.
Maxell MX Metal tape used from Touch of Grey through Throwing Stones, XLIIS taped used for remainder of show. Tape flip at start of Eyes and End of Throwing Stones crossfaded.

Wow! The energy here is blowing me away. Brent puts some extra umph in his solos, and he’s given a lot of space to breathe. The vocals are clear and have a sort of urgent quality to them, although the guitars, while audible, suffer from a lack of volume; most likely this is what they were getting from the PA, not any fault of the recording. This early-to-mid 80s era is perhaps my favorite — sometimes dark, sometimes punkish almost, but always an adventure. Thank you so much for such a clear and dynamic recording!

It all comes back to me now. I remember talking to you on 6-20-83, me and my girlfriend were worried about you with all that stuff hooked up to your body in the lightning. You were the only one left, you crazy boy, you. I'm glad you made it ok. What a F'n show. Much love!

This was recorded from the lawn off of the repeaters (see notes) the result is lots of clear Phil (no boomy echos), and good vocals. On my system, it sounds like I imagine it might've sounded out there on the lawn. Both this show and 6/20/83 sound pretty good! Of the 2 shows 6/20 sounds better. Both shows were recorded off of the repeaters, but 6/20 has clearer vocals and better sound.
